Acute pain and swelling in the nose area, and sometimes even bleeding from the nose, usually occur. The nose may appear crooked or deformed, and breathing may be impaired.

Smoking reduces blood flow to the small vessels, which are important for wound healing, so we recommend stopping smoking during the healing phase. Good care of the nasal mucosa promotes healing both before and after surgery. We recommend starting nasal care with ointments and oils one week before surgery. A splint is applied after the operation. It is removed after one to two weeks, along with the sutures on the nasal bridge. Packing is not necessary for correction . We recommend refraining from sports for six weeks. Glasses should not be worn during this time.
